Quality healthcare is a fundamental human right. Yet, studies by AIIMS and Harvard University reveal that only 37% of women in India receive timely healthcare compared to men for the same illnesses.
In rural and marginalized belts, menstrual hygiene remains shrouded in silence and stigma. Less than 18% of rural women use hygienic sanitary napkins, leading to serious reproductive tract infections. Similarly, barely 21% of pregnant women receive full Antenatal Care (ANC) and necessary Iron-Folic Acid supplementation.
Bhartiya Jan Jagriti Welfare Society conducts on-ground mobile health camps, menstrual hygiene awareness drives, free biodegradable sanitary pad distribution, and hemoglobin anemia screening to ensure women and adolescent girls receive the proactive medical care they deserve.
